The area around Villanueva del Trabuco is noted for its hill walking, climbing, mountain biking and paragliding.  Bird watching is a must, as well as the native eagles, Hoopoe and other rare breeds, this area is on the migration route of many foreign species.

Villa Ana is also ideal as a base to discover Andalucia.  The historic cities of Granada, Cordoba, Seville, Ronda, Malaga, Antequera and Coin can all be visited on day trips as can the ski resort of the Sierra Nevada.  The many beaches of the Costa del Sol are easily accessible. 

For the more adventurous traveller the good rail service from Antequera gives access to places like Madrid and Valencia.
